Dear Faruk and Ozcan, Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at your bed and breakfast. The location is excellent and lovely to be in walking distance to the grand bazaar. Your hospitality is excellent and it was particularly helpful for me as a first time visitor to Istanbul to feel completely welcomed by the friendly Turkish bear scene through you. Omar thank you so much for guiding me through the wonderful shopping bazaar and to help me negotiate the purchases prices and even helping me to go see a dentist within my first couple of hours in being in the city! Ozcan your culinary skills exceeded expectations with sumptuous dinners and huge Turkish breakfasts. I wish you well in your B&B which felt much more like my Turkish home. I have been to Istanbul many times... have stayed in many hotels... chic, normal and bad! I loved it staying at BearHost! It was easy to talk to them before I arrived, Faruk came to pick me up at the airport, something I was not expecting him to do neither was necessary because their house is 30 meters away form the Aksaray metro stop, the metro line that in 35 minutes puts you right at the Airport Terminal... But it was nice to meet him there. Once I got to Aksaray I smiled, satisfied... is the Istanbul that I love with the bakeries, the kebab shops, the fruit stalls and the real Istanbul people! The Room was large and airy, the bed huge and comfortable, the bathroom just next door, always clean. I felt welcome and at home since the first moment. All the people living in that house became my friends... Breakfast is so good you just linger for hours, due to the food and the company. Another great thing was that I did not have to worry to bring any friends to my room... They were all welcome to come and visit me! If you are looking for luxury and a westernized experience don't come... but if you are open mind, want to experience Istanbul the way the locals do... Come and stay in BearHost! I cant wait to go back!

I stayed with my friend at Faruk's place. At first I was not sure whether to go for a hotel or Faruk's place. But when I got there I can tell you one thing: Staying at Faruk's place is really a great experience where you will discover Istanbul from a "bear's view."  Don't hesitate. Go for it and discover Turkish gay life in style! Above all, you will get VIP treatment at the best bars! Why? Two months ago, during our holydays in Istanbul, Faruk's home has not only been a B&B but was like our home. Faruk treats us not like two ordinary guests but like members of his family. I have travelled to many places but the type of hospitality and warmth I received at Faruk's place has no comparison. Great hospitality and always looking to make me feel at home all the time. Even play the good "brother" when we were at places like bars and discos looking to match me with the right guy, I felt truly at home and taken care of. I will always recommend your place Faruk. We had a fantastic stay and were made to feel completely at home and totally relaxed. Everything was perfect from the welcome, to the rooms, to the breakfast. Faruk is an excellent host who was happy to show us Istanbul and it's bustling gay bear scene. We had VIP treatment wherever he took us. Can't wait to come back!
